don't have much to say today. I've spent the last two days un installing and reinstalling software because nothing seemed to be working correctly.
inally my computer just stopped working altogether, so I've been up have the night reformatting the hard drive and installing the software I use the most.
could tell you just what I think of MicroSoft right now, but I won't. Suffice it to say that I'd like to kick Bill Gates right square in the pants about now.

1) Why are most of us here? That's right, we're here

make money on the Internet. Many buyers are looking for a return on
their investment! Does your product offer them a way to make their
money back and a handsome profit to boot?
2) WE HAVE THE LOWEST PRICE OR YOUR MONEY BACK! How
many times have you seen this? A million, two million? You know why?
Because it works. People want to get or should I say "want to think
that they're getting" the lowest price on the market. One of the best
approaches to this is the "110%" Philosophy. Offer your customer a
refund plus 10% if they find it cheaper. You will find (especially if
it has to be shipped back, or if it's less than $50.00) that for the
small amount you lose on
returns, you make much more on the idea that you are the rock bottom
price. Most often, after the customer has bought your product they
won't want to go to the bother if they do find a lower price. If you
use this
approach keep pricing at it's lowest possible marketable level, while
still making a sizable profit.

3) Vanity, I would say this is probably the more
common
traits of being human. We ALL want to look good! In business, at home,
out on the town or in the mirror. If your product promises to make
your customer look better in appearance or image, you have gained more
selling points.
4) IT'S GOT TO BE THE LATEST! Oh yes, the "Keeping up
with the Jones'" Syndrome. Utilized and presented in the proper light,
this can be a very powerful selling tool. More today than ever do you
see the urban competition of having the best in the neighborhood.
5) In todays fast paced, microwave world of
technology,
if it makes life easier or faster, you will always have customers that
are interested to find out what you have to offer.
6) HOW CAN YOU SAVE ME MONEY TOMORROW! Yes, that's
what
your customers are asking themselves. Beyond just the price, how can
this product save me money. Whether directly or indirectly show them
how you are going to save them bucks down the road! If your product is
going
to save them money in an indirect manner, take their hand and lead
them down the path. Show them how you will save them money in the long
run
7) What else can it do? If you really want to
sell to
some of those holdouts, offer them a versatile product with MULTIPLE
USES OR BENEFITS! Just like the Swiss knife, it has to be Multi-
Functional.

nothing more important when designing a sales strategy than knowing
and understanding your quarry. Know their needs and wants. Know what
motivates them to buy. To convince them you must first understand how
they think and what they're looking for in your product. That's why I
call it "Understanding the Nature of the Beast".

Use your own image to submit a form
To submit a form normally you would use an INPUT
with type="submit". This creates a dull
grey button with the word
submit on it. But sometimes its nicer to jazz thing up a bit using
your own image for a submit button. This can be done by using an INPUT
with type="image", like this:
Notice that I've used the
border="0" attribute. This prevents having that blue line
around your image.

Eliminate annoying
pop-ups forever!
Surfing the internet is a lot of
fun. But sooner or later, you come across certain sites which open pop-
up windows with advertisements. They overwhelm your viewing and take
over your screen.
Exit Killer is software designed
to prevent the opening of these pop-ups.
Most Windows users should be familiar with Microsoft
Outlook Express. This email program is usually installed with the
Windows operating system and is probably among the most commonly used
email program today. While using Outlook Express is fairly easy,
finding and backing up the emails can be a little more complicated.
Since there is a large number of files and folders on a normal
computer running Windows the first problem is to find the files
containing your emails. Outlook Express stores emails in .dbx files
and there might be several different dbx files depending on how many
email folders you have created in Outlook Express. If you are using
Windows 98 you can probably locate your emails somewhere in the
Windows directory. In Windows 2000 emails are usually stored somewhere
in the user data folder.
Locating the email store folder The easiest way to
find out exactly where your emails are stored is to start Outlook
Express, go to the tools menu and open the options dialog. In the
option dialog select the maintenance page and click on the Store
Folder button. Here you can find the path to the folder containing
your emails. To open the folder, copy the path and paste in in the
address field of the windows file manager. You should see a number of
dbx files and possibly some other files too. When using WinBackup you
can simply skip this step since WinBackup automatically finds your
emails and adds an email icon to User Data section if you are using
Outlook Express. WinBackup also locates and backups your address book
which if often not included in the email folder.
Backing up your emails After locating the email folder
you could include this folder in backups to backup your emails. Make
sure that your backup program does not try to lock the files while
running a backup since this will cause file-sharing problems whenever
Outlook Express is running. If you are using WinBackup this should not
be a problem since WinBackup does not attempt to lock files and can
therefore backup your emails while outlook is running without causing
any file sharing problems. You can also try to copy the emails to a
new folder before running a backup to avoid file-sharing problems, or
you could simply close Outook Express whenever a backup operation is
started.
Restoring your emails To restore your emails, locate
the email folder as described above and restore the email files to
this folder. If you have reinstalled Windows you might have to restore
the files to a different folder that could possibly cause some
problems. If you are using WinBackup you can simply select the emails
item on the restore page. WinBackup will automatically find the email
folder and restore your emails. WinBackup can also restore your
address book if your select this icon on the restore page. When
restoring emails it is important to realize that any existing emails
will be removed unless they are located in folders that do not exist
in the backup.
