he Senate on Wednesday approved $1.9 billion in emergency funds to strengthen U.S. border security. I tend to think this is too little, too late, however, it the least they can do.

uesday night on CNN's Lou Dobbs Show, the former Director of Security and Investigations for Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Michael Maxwell, and NumbersUSA's Rosemary Jenks explained why any increase in immigration through an amnesty, a temporary worker program or the provision of more green cards would further compromise an already badly compromised national security situation.

f it weren't so costly, I'd like to round up all the illegals and ship them right back across the border. However, it's to late for that too. Meanwhile we absolutely must secure our Southern border. I still favor using the National Guard with orders to shoot to kill anyone crossing the border illegally.

One of the major service providers, eFax will even let you have a Free account where you can receive up to 20 faxes a month for free, but be aware that you will have to upgrade to a paid service to send faxes. Another service, Send2Fax Prepaid charges you $0.15 for every fax and a $20 deposit along with a very low $1.95 monthly fee.

For a person starting a home business or office, using an online fax service will save you the extra cost of purchasing a fax machine and an extra phone line. Actually, online faxing may save your company or organization around 85% on up front costs and 34% on monthly costs of traditional fax servers. This is a great plus.

Most online fax services are business-ready, and are completely flexible and scalable to meet all your company's faxing requirements. Fax broadcasting to a large number of recipients can also be more cost-effective with these online services. There's usually special custom pricing for companies.

Compatibility

Lastly, in a world that's constantly changing, having a faxing system that's compatible to all the latest gadgets and gizmos, is more important than it may seem at first glance. As our communication and business tools keep changing with the introduction of new hardware and services, Internet or email fax will work with all of these new inventions: Laptops, PDAs, Cell Phones, Wi-Fi, VoIP, Wireless Broadband, Satellite Internet, come what may...

At times you may want to display some HTML code on your page. Maybe you have a remote image or logo that you would like others to show on their sites. The best way to display code in HTML format is to use a <textarea> tag.

To display HTML code for copying and pasting, simply place the code inside your textarea tag. Like so:

Note the "wrap" attribute, this causes the text inside the box to wrap and not flow along one line.

What is Network Marketing Really?

Network Marketing might better be called Relationship Marketing because that term defines it perfectly. In order to sell anything, you have to first develop a relationship with the buyer. There are many ways to do that, but do it you must!

How do you develop relationships?

That, too, is far easier than it sounds. First of all, you must be more interested in solving a problem for your prospect than in selling him something. But to do that, you have to know what his problems are. How do you find out what they are?

Ask questions . . . and LISTEN to the answers.

Too many of us feel that the way to approach a prospect is to start right off with a sales pitch telling him how wonderful our product or service is. That's that worst thing you can do! Find out everything you can about HIM first. Ask him questions, and listen to what he says. In fact, concentrate on what he's saying. Don't let your mind wander to what YOU want to say next. He will give you all kinds of information, if you show that you're really interested in helping him.

Then, show him what you have . . .

After you've listened to your prospect's needs then show him your program, product or service. Let HIM see that it is or isn't what he wants. Simply show him what you have, and don't use all those high pressure tactics you've learned along the way. Sometimes they work, but most of the time, they don't. Even when they do, the customer is left with the feeling that he was coerced into buying. That isn't what you want at all.

You're primary goal should be to earn trust . . .

Most of us won't buy anything from someone we don't feel we can trust. When you listen to your prospect and put his needs before your desire to sell, you cultivate his trust. If he feels he'll benefit from what you have to offer, you have another customer. What's more, you have a happy customer!

Even if whatever you're promoting isn't what he needs this time, he'll remember the interest you showed, he'll remember that you cared about HIM and helping him reach HIS goals. You will have earned his trust, and when you have something that will help him, you won't have to worry about approaching him again.

Don't forget about him . . .

Whether he buys or doesn't buy, don't lose contact with him. Send him a thank you card for taking the time to talk with you or for buying your product. If you've developed a good relationship with him, he'll be happy to hear from him, and down the road, he'll be receptive to your other offers.

If he's become a customer, let him know you appreciate his business. Give him a call now and then to find out how he's doing; how your product is working out for him. Remember his birthday with a card. There are a many ways to keep in touch so get a little creative ~ you don't always have to be thinking about free courses, free reports, etc. Treat him as you would a valued friend. Make it personal!
